efforts and achievements? Or am I trusting God?
What happens when IN the trial I'm all worried and stressed out? My trial grows bigger and bigger to the point that it takes over and consumes my entire life!
What happens when IN a trial I praise God, thank God, give it to God and say I trust God? My trial 'somehow' gets smaller and smaller and before you know it, I've gone through it and 'somehow' I've come out the other side feeling refreshed and alive!
So, do we really trust God? Or do we only 'trust' Him when the sailing is smooth?
Next time you're in a trial, try earnestly trusting God... Let your sails down. Go to prayer, praise and thanksgiving. Rest in what you've read or heard about God... Test that information you've heard, and let the information become experience. Romans 10:17 says: So faith comes by hearing what is told, and what is heard comes by the preaching of the message that came from the lips of Christ the Messiah Himself.
James 1:2-4 says: Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be people perfectly and fully developed with no defects, lacking in nothing.
Our faith IS going to be tried and tested. The answer to the trial and test is 'Trust'. Trust! Trust! Trust!
We are but a speck on the great canvas, yet our Painter knows exactly what He's doing!! It's time to put on our armour and TRUST God!
Because... It is done!
