When you stand on God's word, and you know who you are in Christ, you don't have to worry about fighting an enemy that has already been defeated.
That is incredibly powerful!!!
It's really not that I'm right or even about me being right... It's just that God IS... and because He is, it is on His word that we can stand. It comes down to who or where we want to place our trust.
Have you heard the expression ‘be careful what you wish for’? I don’t know about you, but there are times I need to be careful what I pray for!! When we pray it changes things… it changes things in the world outside and it changes things within us, even if we weren’t praying for something for ourselves. God is very mysterious and yet very cool in the way He works things!!
My husband is in college right now studying to be a Community Support Worker. It’s been an incredible journey for him, and for me too, as he shares the information he’s learning with me, and I learn through typing his homework, presentations and assignments for him. In a nutshell, his class has beenstudying society. When they
On August 29, I wrote about my back issues and the prognosis from the Chiropractor followed by just how amazingly quickly God seemed to be at work behind the scenes in my situation. I’m not going to go
In 2010, after losing my beloved Glen to cancer, this Josh Wilson song resonated within me. I would hear it on the radio virtually every day in my to-and-fro-ing dropping the girls off at daycare or school, shopping, work, life… I lost my Glen… but
Throughout life, we encounter hurt, pain, love, joy, blessing and suffering (and so much more!). This is regardless of our upbringing and just because it's part of life, and (eventually) the consequence of choices that we make. But how we carry all that, how we deal with that, whether it's great or oh so
I love my worship music!! Our whole family does… But I’m the one at home most of the time while the kids and husband are in school/college, so I have the opportunity to play it the most… And I have to say that it feeds my spirit and my soul when-
Sometimes we don’t see our successes or our improvements or our growth. So often these things just evolve over time. They aren’t usually instant and they don’t usually have a finish line. When we ‘get there’ we aren’t met with rapturous applause or parties of congratulations most of the time.
Our family always listens to Christian music in the car, and often at home but more in the car (we spend a lot of time going from here to there). Sometimes it’s a CD, sometimes it’s a radio station, and sometimes it’s from our phones. But we are always listening to it as we drive. Very often the girls and I will have the music up LOUD! They’re in the
Whether we like it or not, we have an enemy and he’s not nice. He plays games, twists truth, manipulates, schemes, steals, kills and destroys. With me, he likes to play in my head and with my thoughts. He likes to try to use God’s word against
The more brokenness I see in this world, the more passionately I pursue God. We give the spirits of darkness WAY too much power! And it's so futile... They have NO authority over our lives... UNLESS we give it to them...
And that doesn't mean we have to bully the bully... all we have to
Sometimes as a Christian, it's hard to let go and trust God completely. We come into this relationship with Christ full of worldly experiences... broken trust with people, rejection from people, hurt by people, betrayed by people... but our worldly perception is all based on PEOPLE... not on God.
Sometimes it is really hard for us to grasp both statements in this MiracleChannel graphic.
When we accept Christ we are forgiven. Wow! That's huge!! Just think of all the stuff you have done in your life - the nasty, rotten, ugly garbage - to yourself and to others. That's one big pile of junk for most of us!! Yet God
Life is filled with choices and decisions. Every day we make thousands of them. Some are habitual - we just do them - like brushing our teeth. Some are conscious choices - like what to wear. Some take a lot of thought - how to respond or react to something.
But all are choices and decisions. And all have consequences.
