When you stand on God's word, and you know who you are in Christ, you don't have to worry about fighting an enemy that has already been defeated.
That is incredibly powerful!!!
It's really not that I'm right or even about me being right... It's just that God IS... and because He is, it is on His word that we can stand. It comes down to who or where we want to place our trust.
In 2010, after losing my beloved Glen to cancer, this Josh Wilson song resonated within me. I would hear it on the radio virtually every day in my to-and-fro-ing dropping the girls off at daycare or school, shopping, work, life… I lost my Glen… but
I love my worship music!! Our whole family does… But I’m the one at home most of the time while the kids and husband are in school/college, so I have the opportunity to play it the most… And I have to say that it feeds my spirit and my soul when-
The Joy of the Lord is my strength… How many times have we heard that phrase and really thought “Yeah, right! If I had the joy of the Lord then I wouldn’t be going through this right now?!” Or how about Proverbs 17:22 where it says a happy heart is like good medicine and we’ve wondered how is it possible to be happy in “this” situation?
Let's face it... This world really does give us LOTS to grumble about... it's NOT perfect! No one in it is perfect, things don't go according to 'plan' and there's ALWAYS something that makes us go "ugh!". With an attitude of gratitude, we can change our perspective and we can choose to see the good. We can see God's hand
Our family always listens to Christian music in the car, and often at home but more in the car (we spend a lot of time going from here to there). Sometimes it’s a CD, sometimes it’s a radio station, and sometimes it’s from our phones. But we are always listening to it as we drive. Very often the girls and I will have the music up LOUD! They’re in the
Two years ago, almost to the day, I had a meeting which was so inspirational, so encouraging and very motivating – it was the meeting to launch me into my dreams and purpose here on this little spinning ball in the universe.
Everything I had ever had planted in my soul was about to
God never complicates things. We do. If life is getting complicated or confusing or chaotic then we are getting off track somewhere. Obedience to God leads us to peace, righteousness and joy. Not confusion or complication.
James 4:7-8 says submit to God. Resist the devil and he will leave
Whether we like it or not, we have an enemy and he’s not nice. He plays games, twists truth, manipulates, schemes, steals, kills and destroys. With me, he likes to play in my head and with my thoughts. He likes to try to use God’s word against
Sometimes as a Christian, it's hard to let go and trust God completely. We come into this relationship with Christ full of worldly experiences... broken trust with people, rejection from people, hurt by people, betrayed by people... but our worldly perception is all based on PEOPLE... not on God.
Sometimes it is really hard for us to grasp both statements in this MiracleChannel graphic.
When we accept Christ we are forgiven. Wow! That's huge!! Just think of all the stuff you have done in your life - the nasty, rotten, ugly garbage - to yourself and to others. That's one big pile of junk for most of us!! Yet God
In the Old Testament, the Israelites took the ark of the covenant everywhere they went. To them it represented the 'presence of God'. It always went before them, being carried by appointed priests. It never followed them. They took it into battle with them, and again, it went first. Every time they did
We are going to face trials in this life - whether we are Christians or not - that's just part of life.
But what we as Christians have, are the awesome promises from God that stretch from the beginning of the Bible to the end... There isn't one book that doesn't contain a godly promise of safety, security or refuge.
Are we soaking in and thirsting for all that God wants to give us or are we losing that attitude as soon as trouble or trials come? Are we praising only in the good times and worrying in the rest? Am I trusting me, myself, my own
When I look back on my life I see so many times when people were trying to point me in the right direction and where people were trying to lead me in the wrong direction. At the end of the day, it was always my choice on what to do, but I can certainly
