The beauty, and sometimes the burden, in life is that we are free to choose what we do, what we say, how we act etc but we are never free from the consequences of our choices.
Our choices affect everything and everyone around us. I can choose to make my day miserable or happy. If I'm miserable, how are those around me going to be? If I'm happy, how are those around me going to be? Am I doing the things I'm doing for self-seeking attention purposes? Or am I genuinely doing them from my heart for others? I can let my ego and pride be on display or I can let God shine in and through my life. All the glory goes to Him anyway. As it says in Matthew 16:25: For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. The more I seek God, the less I seek myself. The more I seek God, the better, wiser choices I make. The more I seek God, the better my consequences are. The more I seek God, the more my consequences are actually blessings! The more I seek God, the less I FEAR the consequences of my choices. The more I seek God, the better I become, the better my life becomes, the better those around me become. It's a domino affect of goodness! God is so good!! |
