from Nova Scotia yet I was born in Vancouver, BC. That's all I know. And that itself leaves the mind to race about me... from conception to birth... the era I was born in... and all sorts of things.
It was the 1960s... a time of 'free love'. I'm pretty sure that my birth mother became pregnant outside of marriage and rather than invoke shame on the family, she was shipped across the country for the pregnancy, and then went back home afterwards.
Like I said, I have no idea if that's true or not; I have never looked into it.
But I know that the knowledge of being adopted, made me feel very unwanted. Which is kind of silly looking back, as the parents who adopted me and raised me wouldn't have done so if I weren't wanted. Our minds and imaginations can certainly raise havoc on us if we let them!
But looking back on my life, as I approach my 50th birthday, I can say that nothing was accidental. God had his hand on my life the entire time!
No matter what you've been through, are going through, or have done, I hope you can see that God loves you and that nothing has been accidental!
While we often cannot make sense of some of the things we do or endure or go through, even your worst storms, the ones you thought you would never make it through, you made it through!
God KNOWS what He is doing! We just in to step in and accept His love, mercy, grace and forgiveness.
Discover who you are and what you mean to God. If it were for JUST you... Jesus would have STILL gone to the cross... That's how much YOU mean to Him!!
